Memorial Day Weekend

I've been meaning to get this blog post up for about a week now, but Liam ended up getting sick right after the long 4 day weekend (thank goodness it wasn't during), then I ended up getting it, and then Jay got it too so we were all feeling horrible all last week. Thank goodness it is all over now and we are all slowly getting back to normal! It's a good thing too since Liam & I will be traveling to GA at the end of this week! =)

Anyways, just wanted to do a recap of our fun-filled 4 day weekend! The weather was perfectly breezing & a lil warm last week, so to start our long weekend out, we decided to do a family hike up Pinnacle Mountain! We've hiked up this mountain a couple of times already and I enjoy it more each time! If you live in Arkansas, or ever visit us (or just the state in general lol), you def. need to make a trip up Pinnacle. The views up there is breathtaking! Jay & I have done both the west & east sides. One side is more like rock climbing the whole way up, and the other is a little less strenuous, so of course we took that way since we had Liam with us. The first time we hiked with Liam up the mountain, he was about 15 months old... He's a lot older now and a lot heavier (well according to hubby he is lol). But we made it up and down alive! =) It was def. a good work out!

The next day we decided to take Jay's early father's day gift out for a test run. We loaded up after breakfast and headed down to the lake. I think it's safe to say that daddy was in love with his present =) 

We even got Liam out in the kayak, and he absolutely loved it! He even helped daddy paddled some.

After paddling around with daddy in the kayak, we relaxed by the picnic tables and had a snack while we watched daddy play in the water and feed the duckies. 

Then Liam & I headed to the playground to play for a bit while Jay was paddling around the lake. I even actually got out in the kayak too. It was fun. 

Then we went back home to shower and eat some lunch. After Liam had his afternoon nap, we loaded up the car again and headed to LR for some arcade fun to celebrate our friend, Esther's birthday! We all had a blast and Liam had so much fun running around and playing all the arcade games.

We ended our weekend with a big storm and a tornado warning so we had to hide out in our bathroom! Thank goodness it did not hit us! I hate tornado season! But other than that, we had a wonderful 4 day weekend! Hope everyone else did too! =)
