Our First Family Vacation =)

So we just got back from our first (of many to come im sure) real family vacation together! We've been on family trips before, but it's usually just going back home to GA to visit family so we don't really consider it a real "family vacation" for us. This time, it was just us three, exploring the beautiful city of Dallas! =)

We originally planned to go to San Fran, since it was mine & Jason's 3 year anniversary last week, but since his cousin was getting married in Dallas last weekend, we figured we would just go explore Dallas during the week and then go to the wedding that weekend. That way, we would be able to see her get married also. We can always go to San Fran another time, it'll still be there ;) Who knows, maybe we'll get stationed out that way one day (i doubt it lol, but wishful thinking doesn't hurt).

Anyways, we started out our anniversary week with a sweet present to each other. I got hubs a new citizen watch, and he surprised me with a beautiful pearl ring (which I cant wait to get back from sizing so I can wear it).

Liam drove most of the way to Texas ;)

We arrived in Dallas on Monday and of course had to eat at one of our favorite restaurants, In-n-Out Burger  (which sadly, we don't have in AR)

We spent most of the first day there shopping and eating lol

Tuesday, we spent going to see the Reunion Tower. The view up top was beautiful!

Poor baby was exhausted after all the fun we had that day lol

Wednesday we spent taking Liam to see the fishies at the aquarium, the giraffes & elephants at the zoo, & having a picnic lunch in the park. =)

Klyde Warren Park is def. a neat place to visit if you're ever in Dallas. Its a cute little park that sits right above the freeway. There are food trucks there, and game areas for adults, and a playground for the kids. Lots to do for free! Plus its the perfect place for a picnic if the weather is nice out!

After spending the beautiful afternoon at the park, we took Liam to see the animals at the Dallas Zoo. He loved the giraffes! :)

Thursday, we spent the day at the Dallas Arboretum! It was simply beautiful there! Perfect picture ops everywhere ;) so of course I had to snap a few of Liam by the pretty flowers!

He wasn't so sure about the grass at first lol

But he got used to it after a little while. However, he wouldn't crawl on it lol. He loved walking on it though!

He loves riding on daddy's shoulder! =)

Overall, our week in Dallas was amazing =) The next few days were spent with family for Whitney's wedding weekend! I will post about that in a different post.
