Fall 2015

So I just realized that I haven't updated this blog since August! So here's a quick update of what's going on lately. The beginning of Fall has been super busy for me, especially since this is the prime time for family pictures, so I've been pretty busy with many photo shoots. Which I don't mind at all since it's what I  love doing. =) Speaking of which, we also got some family pictures done as well! We haven't had professional family portraits done since Liam was a baby, so it was nice to have these done =) I'll share a few of my favorites down below.

These beautiful pictures were taken by the talented Anna Manry over at Sweet Pea Photography - AR. Make sure to check her out on facebook!

Fall is one of my favorite time of year. All the fun activities that comes along with it is the best! Liam's old enough this year to enjoy them all! We went to a pumpkin patch, carved and painted pumpkins, took him trick or treating, along with so much more. It's so fun to watch his face light up as he experience each new things.

He loved riding the pony!

Doing what he does best, running! lol
With his friends, Enrique & Emma =)

September & October have been super fun and busy months! And it doesnt end here, we have so much more to look forward to! Mine & Jason's birthdays, a visit from my MIL, Thanksgiving, then our big trip to VN! I'm not sure if I will do another update before our trip, since I've been super busy preparing for it, on top of many more photo sessions this month, but I will try to post at least once more before we go =) And of course, be on the look out for a super long post when we get back! Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season! <3

Color Vibe 5k

This past weekend was so much fun! A couple weeks ago, one of my friend had asked me if we wanted to do the color run with her and her family. I was so excited when she had asked me because 1) I thought it was already over and 2) I didn't think that we could run it with Liam with us. But when she told me that we were allowed to run it with our kiddos, it got me even more excited! I've always wanted to do the color run so I'm glad that we were able to experience it this past weekend, especially with Liam too =)

The race started bright & early... at 9am! If you know me, then you know that I'm def. not a morning person and this is extremely early for me lol. But it was Liam that had a harder time waking up than me haha But once he was up and going, he was so excited for the color run.

The morning of the race, we woke up to no water in our house because of a water main break. Thank goodness we had some bottle waters so that we could brush our teeth and wash our face. Then we loaded the car and headed to Little Rock with our friend and her family. The excitement of the race and the fun atmosphere there made waking up at the crack of dawn not so bad.

Liam's excitement came to an end as soon as he got hit with some color chalk lol. He does not like to get messy so when the chalk hit his leg, he freaked out lol. I had to give him some "magic sunglasses" that will keep the chalk away from him. Here he is pouting in the stroller while wearing his magic glasses. lol

Poor Jay had to run around each check point with Liam so that the chalk wouldn't get to him lol. About halfway through the course, all Liam wanted to do was hold my hand so we ended up walking the rest of the way, which I didn't mind either bc I was getting tired anyways ;) lol It was still a fun experience.

the aftermath

After the race, we grabbed some lunch and headed back home to shower. Only to find out that our water was STILL out! So we were stuck with all this chalk on us for a couple of hours. We ended up shaving CoCo (our dog) since we didn't have anything else to do lol. I think we did a pretty good job for our first time haha plus we saved about $50! ;) When the water finally came back on, we all showered and got cleaned. Then we prepped some foods and went over to our friend's house for a cookout.

Perfect way to end our fun day! =)

4th of July!!

We had a wonderful 4 day weekend last weekend! So happy that Jason was off of work so that we could have a long weekend together. We had our usual 4th of July cook out with our awesome friends.... minus a few & adding a few lol. Being military, we don't get the opportunity to spend the holidays with our families much, so I'm so thankful that we have wonderful friends (who are basically like family) that we can hang out with on holidays. We had way too much foods, talked each other's heads off, laughed until we couldn't laugh anymore, and just enjoyed each other's company. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Ashley's beautiful homemade apple pie ;)

Esther's awesome patriotic strawberries!
Had to model in front of our friend's awesome jeep ;)

My handsome little man, always on the move!

my friends are a bit strange... but i wouldn't trade them for anyone else ;)
Are they not the CUTEST boys ever!!??!
Baby E modeling for me ;)
And of course we ended our night by watching fireworks down by Rivermarket. Liam had a blast watching the fireworks. He was a little scared at first because of how loud they were, but he loved it after awhile.

Hope everyone had a nice 4th of July! =)
