Lunar New Year 2015

Happy Lunar New Year!! or Chúc mừng năm mới as it is said in Vietnamese!

A little fact about this year's lunar new year:

'2015 is the year of the goat, but you may see it referred to as the “Year of the Sheep” too.

The confusion stems from the Chinese character “yang”, which can translate in colloquial Chinese as either sheep or goat.

Their characters are supposedly kind and peaceable, while their best months are supposedly August and November and their lucky flowers are primroses and carnations.'

I miss being home during this time to celebrate with my family and eat all the yummy foods my mom always make. It's hard being so far away, but then again, I'm also thankful we aren't overseas sometimes. Hopefully this time next year we will be able to celebrate lunar New Years in Vietnam! :) We spent the day in Little Rock today after hubs got home from work. We had PF Changs for dinner and did some shopping :) Then we were able to do some FaceTiming with my parents to wish them a happy new year. Overall, it was a fun day! here's to a year of new adventures, lots of love & laughter, and many more fun and exciting times watching our little boy learn and grow! ☺️😘
